In continuation of the implementation of the SSUP project in the January cycle, in Kushk Robat Sangi district, which includes a commodity voucher model, the distribution of food items started on February 4th. These food items are intended for 7000 beneficiaries.
The food package includes 50 kilograms of wheat flour, 5 liters of oil, 6.25 kilograms of lentils, and one packet of salt. These food items are procured by Golzad Group and have been prepared and made ready for distribution after passing standard tests by the World Food Organization.
The Razi Social Development Organization, taking into account the challenges faced by the residents of villages in this district, such as lack of sufficient transportation means and distance from roads to reach the center of this district, facilitated the beneficiaries’ access by establishing 5 distribution centers. These centers include the central distribution center, Robat Sangi, Kaleh Laghoo, Rahmat Bai, and Khalifa Rahmat. This initiative aims to make it easier for beneficiaries to receive assistance, as they can easily access the centers near them to receive their aid.
The distribution process of food packages began from the central distribution center on February 4th and will continue to Robat Sangi, Kaleh Laghoo, Rahmat Bai, and Khalifa Rahmat centers upon completion of the central distribution center.
The WFP, in collaboration with RSDO and Golzad Group FSP, successfully distributed relief packages in 5 distribution centers for 7000 beneficiaries, executing the distribution of food packages for 900 to 1100 beneficiaries daily.
