History of Razi Social Development

_

Organization (RSDO) is an Afghan NGO which implements social development activities in Afghanistan since April 2008. RSDO works for the development and relief of marginalized communities to achieve economic prosperity and improve humanitarian and social capital through delivering the social, educational, and agricultural and livelihood services to vulnerable and marginalized societies.

It firstly initiated the primary activities in 2002 under the name of “Abu Hanifeh Orphan High School”, assisting orphan children who lost their parents and families during the long lasting war in Afghanistan to learn and build their future. Later on, upon the expansion of RSDO intervention, it was re-registered with the government of Afghanistan as an Afghan NGO in April 2008. Throughout years of hard working, RSDO slowly developed and now has a permanent stay in Herat and temporarily presence in western region of
Afghanistan such as: Ghor, Badghis and Farah provinces.

RSDO is also a member of Afghanistan Environmental Protection, Gender Equality Networks based in

RSDO has the partnership with NICCO, a Japanese Organization, since August 2007 by representing NICCO in Afghanistan and implementing its projects in Herat and Ghor provinces of Afghanistan.

We cooperate closely with the NICCO Japan and implement projects on education, agriculture, literacy, vocational training, teacher training and women empowerment in Herat and Ghor provinces.
