As part of its ongoing commitment to building sustainable futures for vulnerable communities, Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO) has successfully completed a vital livelihood distribution in the Kushk-e-Kuna district of Herat province. This project, generously funded by our Donor CAID, delivered essential assets to 230 households, directly enhancing their food security and income-generating potential.
The distributions were conducted in two phases in October:
- October 13: 120 households received a poultry package consisting of 15 hens and 33kg of animal feed. This support will provide families with a sustainable source of eggs for nutrition and a means of generating income through local sales.
- October 22: An additional 110 households were supported with a livestock package of 2 goats and 50kg of animal feed. Goats are a crucial asset for families, offering a consistent supply of nutritious milk and the opportunity for herd growth and long-term economic stability.
This initiative is a core component of RSDO’s livelihood programming, which aims to empower families by providing them with the tools and resources they need to become self-reliant.
RSDO extends its sincere gratitude to CAID for their technical and financial support, which made this impactful intervention possible. We look forward to continuing our work to strengthen community resilience in Kushk-e-Kuna.
