
Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO), by God’s will and after completing three rounds of the emergency food distribution project successfully, now intends to use the experiences gained from the previous rounds to start the fourth round of this project with the financial and technical cooperation of World Food Organization (WFP).
The area covered at this stage will be four districts (Kushk-e-Kohna, Rabat Sangi, Golran, and Kohsan) as well as the fifteen districts of Herat city.
In the previous rounds, the RSDO organization was able to successfully distribute food packages including (flour, oil, salt, pulses, and nutritional supplements for children and lactating) for (448737) households for 18 months with complete trust and honesty by its hardworking and dedicated staff.
RSDO organization is responsible for the effective implementation of the project in the designated areas which will be completed by its experienced and skillful employees. In addition, RSDO is trying to develop new methods using the lessons learned from previous rounds in implementing the project and to solve the challenges in the work area to train his former and new employees by conducting workshops and training seminars. Undoubtedly, improving the working capacity of employees can be one of the main components of success in the output process of organizational objectives.
The fourth round of the emergency food distribution project, like the previous rounds, will target the most vulnerable people in society. At first, the most vulnerable people who are at the lowest level of food security will be identified by trained survey teams in coordination with the project stakeholders (Directorate of Economy (DoEC), Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA), the district governors, the administrations of the fifteen municipal districts, the security departments, CFAC (area’s representatives), and the Imams of the local mosques).

The surveyed beneficiaries will be enrolled in the scope program for better transparency, prevention of duplication, issuance of multiple cards to one person, and the registration of their details by biometric department employees.

In this round, 20276 needy and highly vulnerable families of the mentioned districts and areas will receive assistance in one year from July 1, 2023, to the end of June 2024 which are as follows:
- Distribution of LNS nutritional supplements to 15724 children with malnutrition and wheat and soybean mixture WSB to 7862 pregnant and lactating women. (There is a possibility of changes in these section’s numbers by the WFP)

- Improving living conditions through cash distribution for 3000 households.

- Distribution of food packages (VALUE VOUCHER) through Azizi Bank credit cards from the stores specified by WFP for 2000 households.

- Distribution of food packages (flour, oil, Pulses, and salt) to 14040 households.

- Distribution of food packages (Beans, salt, flour, and oil) COMMUNITY VOUCHER for 1236 households.

As in the past, Razi Social Development Organization (RSDO) is committed to the transparent and honest implementation of this round and promises to give this assistance with full trusteeship to the real needy people.
