Wakil Ahmad is living in Qala Shater right now, he lost his left foot during the war between Afghanistan government and the army of Russian he is illiterate and jobless, he always suffers from poverty and absence of primary life-expenses he is the breadwinner of the family. Due to the recent revolution in the country like every other breadwinner, he got jobless and depressed.

Being jobless and breadwinner by coincidence caused him to be depressed, after the revolution in Afghanistan like all other breadwinners he got endangered of poverty now he and his three little kids, and his wife seriously need anything to overcome this remarkable famine. Otherwise, before the revolution and now, he had a stand in the Jaada-Lilami and sold artificial goods however, his net income was not enough for his living expenses but at least he could buy something and pass his daily life, the Taliban’s regime changed his lifestyle even worse than his previous life. In the last three months, he goes to the Bazaar and stands but he cannot save any money to buy a loaf of bread for his family. He said, “one month ago I was about to sell my little girl Mina but there was nobody to buy my daughter, till by the receiving money of Mina go to the bazaar and buy something for three other boys to”.

Wakil Ahmad said, “That four weeks ago when I heard from people in my neighborhood that there is an NGO by the name of RSDO came and ask for collecting data from poor individuals and aiding them by giving food parcels and cash in Herat province”. According to the condition of Afghan people who are remarkably endangered of poverty and famine this NGO incorporation (HELP-Germany) due to the humanitarian assistance policy helping IDP HHs. He said, “When I heard about this news quickly went through the governor of the area and requested for this opportunity, believe me that it was like gold for my family and me to access in this aid. This news created expediency in my life that stopped me from selling my little girl my spiritual wealth. Grateful and happily I entered my home to report them this fabulous news and call them that there is no need any more to sell Mina”. After a while, data collectors came to my door and asked for information about my life after displacing our hometown Urdu-Khan, and I answered something they asked. At the first sight, I could see the happiness on Mina’s glance and talked to myself, “Oh my god although she is very little and heart-sweet she knew about something passed from her”. Now we feel thankful/grateful by receiving this humanitarian aid that still there is something by the name of humanity in the world and thinks comfort about it. We believe that while Wakil Ahmad receives the package of a food parcel and cash that is consists of (Wheat flour 60kg, Rice 29kg, Sugar 6kg, Salt 0.8kg, Oil 6liter, cotyledon 14kg, and cash). He would never think about selling his valuable daughter at least for seven/six months.

On February 15, 2022, distribution of cash and food parcel aid descended, Wakil Ahmad stands in alignment thankful and we are, too. He is happy because of aids and we are happy for our mission there are lots of IDP households like Wakil Ahmad that languish from this coming poverty/famine. Maybe other people with the same condition even worse than him were about to sell their life’s values like one of the family members.
