Continuing the implementation of the SSUP project, in the January cycle, the WFP organization conducted the distribution process of food packages in the districts of Gulran, Kohsan, and Kushk-e-Kohneh, utilizing the Food Distribution modality. Overall, food distribution was conducted for 7796 beneficiaries.
The food packages consist of 50 kilograms of wheat flour, 5 liters of oil, 6.25 kilograms of pulses, and one packet of salt. Additionally, if there is a child under 5 years old or a pregnant or lactating woman in the household, 3 kilograms of WSB are provided for pregnant or lactating women, and a supplementary food package (LNS) is provided for children.
In Kohsan district, the distribution process took place in four areas: Qala Dhabit, located in the center of Kohsan district, Qodus Abad, Bonyad, and Barah Kooh. In total, food items were distributed to 2200 beneficiaries.
Similarly, in Gulran district, distribution occurred in four areas: Qara Bagh-e-Markazi, Lahra, Totouchi, and Zakani. Overall, food items were distributed to 2596 beneficiaries across these four areas.
In Kushk-e-Kohneh district, distribution took place in five areas: Kuklam, Qala Ahmad, Larghagha, Zindah Hashim, and Khwaja Qalandar. In total, food items were distributed to 3000 beneficiaries.
