As part of the ongoing implementation of the SSUP project, in the cycle of January, RSDO conducted the distribution of food items in stores across Herat city. This distribution includes the Value Voucher modality and is targeted at beneficiaries who previously received Azizi Bank cards which had 3200 Afghanis.
The implementation of the Value Voucher process was carried out exclusively within Herat city, benefiting 6064 beneficiaries who received food items through participating stores. In this process, each beneficiary’s bank card is charged with 3200 Afghanis per cycle, allowing them to purchase necessary food items from city-wide stores using the funds available in their bank account. Cash withdrawals from their bank account are not permitted.
RSDO organization, to facilitate the receipt of food items by all listed beneficiaries across various areas of the city, designated accessible stores in each region. Sixteen stores were selected for the distribution of food items through the Value Voucher process. The locations of these stores include Shahranu, Eidgah Road, Abu Hanifa 13, Darb Khosh street, Spin Edi street, Nawabad Road, Darb Qandahar, Farqah Jakan Road, Khwaja Abdullah Ansari Street, Zaman Jan Intersection, Juy-e-Angel Intersection, Mustowfiyat, Pol-e-Rangina, Darb Iraq, Tank-e-Mawlawi, and Ghund 11. This process began on January 28 and concluded successfully on February 8.
