Continuing its activities in the “improving access to safe drinking water, hygiene, and sanitation” sector, the RSDO organization conducted training seminars on preserving and maintenance of school structures. These seminars were conducted in 4 target schools for 15 committee members including the teachers, Arbabs, and influential people in the area in the Kushk-e-Kohna district of Herat province. RSDO organization considers the role of these committees to be vital in the preservation and maintenance of school structures and by conducting these training seminars we assure the preservation and maintenance of the schools’ structures after the implementation of the project.
This is while during the past months, the work of digging deep wells, rehabilitation of the sanitary facilities, digging septic tanks, and building hand wash stations and storage tanks for clean and safe drinking water in the target schools in this district has been carried out by the RSDO organization. This project was funded by the people of Japan and the NICCO international organization and was implemented effectively and compassionately by the RSDO organization to create a healthy and clean environment in the schools of this district.
