On October 15th, the RSDO-BMZ/TDH project successfully organized a Futsal tournament in Herat and Ghor provinces as part of the peace-building component, engaging 80 male participants in Herat and Ghor provinces . The youth enthusiastic participants from the local community. The main goal of sports tournaments was to integrate the youth from three types of IDPs: returnees and host communities.
During the tournaments, the youth created a peaceful environment in their communities. These tournaments included several matches, which encouraged competition and camaraderie. Local teams demonstrated their skills, and the final match attracted a large crowd from the community, increasing community involvement.
Participants provided feedback that emphasized the tournament’s positive influence on engaging local youth and the significance of such events in promoting sportsmanship.
