• Construction of protection wall:

Years of erosion had turned the entrance to Jaghati village of Kushki Robat Sangee into a swampy quagmire. An adjacent canal had expanded its banks until the road was no longer accessible to large produce trucks from the nearby City Center of Kushki Robat Sangee District. With the construction of a115-meter erosion protection wall funded by Japan Platform, farmers and horses now have no trouble getting out to area, and a greater volume of irrigation water is reaching local farmers. The project provided 4 months of short-term employment to more than 600 village labore

  • Integrated Water Management Project (through Turnout Construction)

The Integrated Water, Sanitation and Waste Management Project supports low cost community based demonstrations in the Kushk District. The project aimed at contr ibuting towards improving the livelihoods of the rural poor by supporting small-scale community-based initiatives in water, sanitation and waste management through construction of 100 turn outs. The project had the following objectives:

Supporting improved accessibility to water and sanitation.

Support the livelihood of the local community through cash for work of labors.

Initiating small-scale door-to-door waste collection and recycling initiatives.

Establishing and strengthening governance frameworks to regulate distribution and accessibility to water and sanitation.
